Charlotte specialises in shooting interiors, food and travel on film. After an Art History degree she developed her photography career with clients including The Guardian, Penguin Books and Chatto & Windus.
A recent commission for Selfridges department store's Our House campaign, exploring the rituals, objects and ideas that make a house a home, saw her work span a length of windows on London’s Oxford Street with photos of everyday interior moments. Her work for Dunhill has been exhibited internationally and book credits include Flavour by Ruby Tandoh, The Cornershop Cookbook and The Set Table: The Art of Small Gatherings.
Charlotte will be leading photography workshops and excursions at Villa Pia, sharing her tips for developing your own photographic style inspired by the beauty of the Italian landscape, the incredible light in the region and the wonderful range of props available at the Arezzo antiques market.
Ros Badger is a designer and craftswoman with a design career that spans more than 30 years. .
A textile graduate of Chelsea College of Art, Ros’ brand Badger’s Velvet, is a collection of home-wares and precious jewellery which uses a mix of the finest materials available, both antique and contemporary.
Ros has designed for Betty Jackson, Johnson’s La Rocka, Margaret Howell and Marks and Spencer among many others, she has made bespoke hats for U2’s The Edge and was knitting expert on C4’s Big Breakfast. In 1994 Ros launched Little Badger, designing and making specialised hand knitwear and T shirts for children. The company pioneered the use of logos, text and imagery previously unassociated with children’s clothes and sold to customers internationally.
Ros’ passion for creating, her expert knowledge and experience has resulted in the publication of 9 books. Homemade - gorgeous things to make with love, published by Harper Collins was at the forefront of the trend for craft and lifestyle when published in 2009, her crochet book, Hook Yarn and Crochet, has been published in 8 languages and sold 35 thousand copies around the world while Festival Fabulous shows how to express individual style.
Ros will be sharing her expertise as a designer with the Villa Pia guests, teaching craft classes on Cyanotypes and book binding, magpie finding at Arezzo’s Flea market and contributing styling tips alongside Charlotte’s photography workshops.
