Bookings, Payment & Cancellation
All bookings are subject to these terms and conditions.
A booking is confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of £950. The balance is due ten weeks before the retreat start date — Creative Retreat: Thursday 31 July, Writing Retreat: Thursday 6 August. Bland Badger reserves the right to cancel a booking if the balance is not received by the due date.
As we incur non-recoverable up-front costs for the retreat, the deposit is strictly non-refundable.
If you cancel after paying the balance and your cancellation is more than eight weeks before the retreat start date, we will refund your balance minus a £200 administration fee. The deposit remains non-refundable in all circumstances. If you cancel less than eight weeks before the retreat start date, no refund will be given.
You must arrange travel insurance to cover any cancellation costs.
Travel Insurance
It is a condition of accepting your booking that you have personal travel insurance arranged in advance, including cancellation cover for medical reasons, pandemic disease, redundancy, jury service and other unforeseen circumstances.
Liability
The use of the accommodation, its facilities, grounds and swimming pool are entirely at the user's risk. Bland Badger, its directors, staff and agents are not liable for any loss, injury or claim of any kind arising out of, or in connection with, staying at or travelling to and from Sommières for you or any member of your party.
Alterations
Bland Badger reserves the right to make changes to the programme, tutors and activities where necessary. In the unlikely event of a retreat being cancelled by Bland Badger, payments will be refunded in full.
